Zug, Switzerland/2 November 2021. Vertis Aviation, the Switzerland-headquartered boutique charter specialist has appointed Daniella Dawson to the newly created Head of Sales position. Vertis is also bolstering its commercial team with the addition of two charter sales executives, located in two new European offices, Paris, France and Ljubljana, Slovenia. The strategic growth reflects the rise in demand for charter from European, African, and Central European customers.

Daniella is an experienced Vertis team member and has been integral in shaping the company’s growth by successfully developing and managing government, head-of-state and high-net-worth individual charters. In her new role she will be responsible for the day-to-day management of the international charter sales team, development of the Vertis Charter Management Program and supporting new recruits Margaux Laplaine in Paris, and Karmen Bukvic in Ljubljana. The creation of the Head of Sales role frees up the executive team to increase focus on global strategic development.

The appointment of Margaux represents Vertis’ first France-based charter sales executive and Karmen, based in Ljubljana, Slovenia, will add a new location to Vertis’ presence in Eastern and Central Europe. These strategic appointments pair qualified professionals with regions showing significant growth in charter interest and activity. Margaux and Karmen will be responsible for generating and managing charter sales, encouraging owners to join the elite Vertis Charter Management Programme, and engaging new clients that are recognising the benefits of executive aviation.

In France, in addition to the burgeoning regional charter movements, Vertis is seeing increased demand for flights to Africa, where the company has a strong and long heritage. Margaux’s appointment is designed to support local French customers, ensuring the highly personalised Vertis approach to client management is maintained. In Ljubljana, Karmen will build on the existing reputation Vertis has for delivering premium levels of service, the most prestigious jets, and attention to detail for each and every customer. With extensive experience in Central and Eastern Europe, Karmen adds essential knowledge to the Vertis business.

“We’ve seen significant expansion of our French business during the last eighteen months which is being driven by inter-continental and intra-continental requests, particularly to destinations in Africa. It makes perfect sense to add Margaux to our team to support the increased route activity between the two continents,”

said Vertis Chief Operating Officer James Foster.

“We are also noting once again an uptick in activity in Eastern and Central Europe, making Karmen a valuable asset for us, and more importantly our clients.”

Vertis has seen travel patterns shift as a result of COVID, and these new roles reflect those changes in demand.

“Our success stems from continuously aligning our business to the changing needs of the business aviation sector, and this expansion is no exception. Daniella is a proven leader, and both Karmen and Margaux embody the Vertis spirit. They all are experienced, dynamic and appreciate the need for seamlessly delivered, tailor-made, customer centric services. We focus on customers as individuals, that is the essence of all we do. We congratulate Daniella on her promotion, and we’re delighted to welcome Margaux and Karmen to the Vertis family,”

added Foster.
